More than a store name

Our heritage goes back to a family-run garden machinery business founded in 1967 by Ron Smith with a focus on dependable equipment, practical advice and knowledgeable customer support.

That work was later developed by the next generation under Mark Smith.

In 1997, Garden Machinery Direct expanded online, combining established machinery knowledge with the convenience of online purchasing.

Our U.S. Focus

Today our U.S.-focused operation serves homeowners, property owners, landscaping professionals and grounds-care teams with lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers, robotic mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers and other outdoor power equipment.
